AMI Aventura Solidária – Traveling against Indifference

Aventura Solidária AMI

AMI presented the Aventura Solidária (Solidarity Adventure) to us and, as we understand it to be an interesting and differentiating project, we decided to write a little about it in order to disseminate it and also to indirectly contribute to improving the living conditions of distant communities with great needs.

AMI is a Portuguese, private, independent, non-political, non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) that aims to fight poverty, social exclusion, underdevelopment, hunger and the aftermath of war, anywhere in the world.

What is the Aventura Solidária

The Aventura Solidária (Solidarity Adventure) is a journey that belongs to AMI’s humanitarian missions. This adventure allows participants to co-finance and participate in a concrete development project (Brazil, Guinea Bissau or Senegal) thus contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of distant communities, in addition to carrying out leisure activities suggested and organized by local populations.

There are no travel agencies, promotional packages, paradisiacal beaches or luxury hotels on this trip. However, there is genuineness, a humanitarian spirit, teamwork, good mood, and the most important thing is that in the end, we can contribute to making a difference in the place we visited.

Prémio Cinco Estrelas 2018

The Solidarity Adventure had its first mission in Senegal in 2007 and for more than a decade the solidary adventurers have contributed to its success.
