    What to Do in Glenelg

    Relax on the Beach

This one is a given! Although we didn’t see many people in the water during our visit, the beach is wide and inviting for a swim. The sea was calm, and the atmosphere was super pleasant.

Take a Walk Along the Coast

There’s a pedestrian path along the beach that stretches for several kilometers, making it perfect for a leisurely walk. Whether early in the morning or at sunset, the sound of the waves and the sea view make this walk special.

Enjoy the Views from the Jetty

The iconic Glenelg jetty stretches out into the sea and is a great spot to enjoy the open views, watch fishermen in action, or simply feel the ocean breeze. At sunset, the landscape from here is incredible.

    Eat a Craft Sandwich

Sandwiches are a very typical meal in Australia, and Glenelg has great options to try. One of the most popular spots is Dante’s Deli, where we tried delicious combinations with fresh, high-quality ingredients. It’s a great choice for a light lunch by the beach.

    Try a Craft Gelato

Glenelg has several gelaterias, but Bottega Gelateria won us over. We didn’t leave without trying the salted pecan and maple flavor – and we highly recommend you do the same!

    Explore the Shopping Area

At the heart of Glenelg, where the tram ends, you’ll find a street full of shops, cafes, and restaurants. It’s worth strolling around, checking out some local shops, and enjoying the relaxed vibe of the area.
