How to Get to Koh Chang

Getting to Koh Chang was much simpler than we imagined. We departed from Bangkok, specifically from the lively Khao San Road, on a comfortable bus heading to the island. The journey was extremely well-organized – we even received a bottle of water and a snack on the bus, an unexpected treat! The trip to the pier took about 5 hours, but it was so smooth that it flew by.

Upon arriving at the pier, we boarded the ferry that took us to Koh Chang. The crossing took about 30 minutes and offered incredible views of the island as we approached. Once we got off the ferry, the famous local taxis – Songtaews – were ready to take us to our accommodation. In total, from Bangkok to the hotel, it took about 7 hours. Not bad at all, considering the distance and the convenience of the whole process. You can find more details about how to get to Koh Chang here.
